A little about me.

What was the first comic you read?
Wolverine 50: Weapon X files, the cover was yellow file folder with 3 scratch marks. I bought it off a rack at 7-11.

What inspired you to make comics? A specific story? Writer? Artist
I use to draw mini comics in grade 6 with a friend with dreams of making it big. Our influences were the 90’s comics back then. I loved the process of creating your own world and characters.

Artists like Arthur Adams, Dave Stevens, Mark Brooks, Adam Hughes, Frank Cho, Jeff Smith, Wally wood, J Scott Campbell my influences.

What do you like about comics? What is it about them that interests you? Inspires you? Moves you?
It used to be about the art at first, but you realize later on the storytelling matters most. Experimenting in storytelling properly and effectively. Conveying the moment properly. You also get to be set designer, costume and makeup.

As an artist, what medium do work in? Pencils? Ink? Digital?
I mostly work digital, but still doodle and sketch in Pencils, inks and Copic marker.

What’s the first thing you do when you sit down to work? Do you have a routine?
Warm ups: I’ll draw circles and straight lines, watching the line widths and lengths and circles, it’s about control. I also try and do life drawing everyday.

Do you listen to music when you work? Other background noise?
I play movies I know by heart. Empire strikes back, LOTR’s, Indy, Terminator, etc – this way you’re not distracted.
